Udemy has determined the price range for the listing on the Nasdaq exchange: $27-$29 per share. At the upper end of the price range, the company’s capitalization will be $4 billion.
Clients of the Global Technologies Private Portfolio fund acquired Udemy shares in September 2020 at $27.5 per share, which is equivalent to a capitalization of $3.75 billion.
According to the financial statements of the company, in the first half of 2021, its revenue reached $250.6 million. It is not rapid, but still growing: for the whole of 2020, this figure was $429.9 million (in 2019 – $276.3 million).
In contrast, Udemy’s net loss was down from the previous year: $29.4 million in the first half of 2021, compared to $42.5 million in the first half of 2020.
The placement date has not yet been determined. The company will go public under the ticker UDMY. The main underwriters of the IPO will be Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan.
