An Israeli battery developer for electric vehicles StoreDot has announced the launch of a new R&D hub (research and development center). It will be located in the American capital of innovation, San Francisco.
According to the CEO of the company Doron Myersdorf, the opening of a hub in Silicon Valley will allow the company to attract the world’s best specialists workforce.
In addition, with a US presence, StoreDot will be able to better negotiate with the local automakers and potential local partners.
Myersdorf also said that StoreDot is considering a joint venture with a US company.
As before, StoreDot plans to start mass production of batteries using XFC technology (extreme fast charging) in 2024, and XED technology (extreme energy density) in 2028.
