
Air Force General and former head of the French Space Command Michel Friedling has joined the Board of Directors of aerospace startup Destinus.
He will represent Destinus in France and negotiate with local aviation regulators.
The Destinus Board of Directors also includes ex-Minister of Science and Innovation of Spain Pedro Duque and ex-Minister of Economics and Technology of Germany Philipp Rösler.
Destinus recently flight-tested an improved second Eiger prototype. At the same time, the company is developing a third prototype – equipped with a hydrogen engine and capable of flying at supersonic speeds. The trials are scheduled for 2023.
